BTS is set to light up 2026 with a highly anticipated comeback, marking an end to a nearly four-year hiatus. On March 20, 2026, the K-pop sensation will return with a new album, according to a social media announcement by their entertainment company, BigHit Music. This highly-awaited return comes after all seven members of BTS—RM, Jin, Jimin, V, Suga, Jung Kook, and j-hope—completed their mandatory military service in South Korea. Suga, the last member to be released from his duties as a social service agent in June 2025, reportedly chose this alternative to military service due to a shoulder injury. The other six members served in the army, allowing ample time for solo projects while the group was on a break. Last summer, BTS teased a world tour and confirmed the release of a new album in the spring of 2026, with production set to begin in July 2025. The group emphasized that the album will reflect each member's thoughts and ideas, approaching it with the same mindset as their early days. This highly-anticipated album will be their first since 2022's 'Proof,' 2021's 'BTS, the Best,' and 2020's 'Be.'
