George Russell, the Mercedes driver, secured an impressive second place during Sprint Qualifying, a feat he attributed to his team's strong performance on Friday. This result was a pleasant surprise, especially considering his recent one-lap performances.
"My Qualifying hasn't been great lately, except for Singapore," Russell admitted. But he quickly added, "I'm thrilled to finally have a good session and get some solid laps under my belt."

"It was a messy Qualifying for me," Antonelli confessed. "I had a big moment in SQ2, which affected my confidence. I didn't maximize the grip today, but the potential was there. I just need to analyze the data and work on my pace for tomorrow."
